Zoe software updates

Am I right in thinking a GT-Line can be updated to add the energy use screens? I believe there’s an actis number for this.

what have people found is Renault’s policy on updates? Ours is due it’s first service and dealer I’m taking it to (not the supplying dealer) have said:

“We are unable to carry out updates unless there is an actual fault. If there are no issues then you will be running on the latest software. Renault don’t cover updates under their warranty unless one is actually required”

this seems nonsense to me. What have others found?

I would contact Renault CS tell them what your asking for (Energy Screen - Actis numbers 64756 / 64273) and tell them your dealer is refusing.

Mine went in earlier in the year for the BMS update and while it was there they installed all other updates that were available without issue. I assume they just plug a laptop in and press a few keys, so nothing too difficult.

I do still find it a bit weird this sort of thing can’t be done over the air.

It’s an unacceptable response to be honest. Renault issue updates to resolve identified issues. How would people know if they have those issues. Applying any updates should be standard part of the service. I don’t mind a modest charge for that either but to simply refuse is weird.

Agree, some dealers have no issue doing updates then there are others responding like the one you went to, call CS.

I agree. I had mine in for a service a couple of weeks ago and mentioned software updates to be told there was none. I then quoted the ACTIS numbers (obtained from this forum) at them and they said they would have a look. They needed to keep the Zoe overnight but it all got done in the end. The update is essential, don’t know what my battery state was in before it went in but have now got about 30 miles of extra range. Spotify via bluetooth is now not working properly but that’s a niggle.
