Thanks for this. Has anyone heard of them before? I rang and they 'sound' legitimate. ÂŁ289/month for 40 kWh Zoe, including maintenance and insurance. So, pretty good value.
And how does the 'Free Electric" offer work?

Hyundai Ionic - ÂŁ389
BMW i3 120Ah - ÂŁ399

Looks good but, unless I'm reading it wrong, you can only recharge at one of 'their' charge points.
So nowhere near as flexible as having your own car.
Although I suppose there's nothing stopping you charging at home and ignoring the free electricity.

I called EVEZY to ask a few questions. So, you can charge at home with no issues, but they give you a Polar Network subscription, so you can use these chargers free of charge. You can charge anywhere else, but you have to pay if there is a fee. They are trying to run a full subscription model as this is where most people think that the future of cars will be, especially when they are self driving. I did a bit of googling and they are a tech start-up with 'seed-funding', maybe someone else can do a bit more digging.

The challenge for me is that they don't give you a key, but you open and close the car with an app. Now, I don't know anyone else experiences with apps, but they don't always work and if you don't have a 3G or 4G signal for example, where we live you are knackered! Also, I can't imagine being happy in the rain with shopping bags waiting for the the app to work. I think that they need to rethink this. I can see that it gives them control over the fleet, but they should be able to do this and also hand out keys.

I am quite interested as they are talking about new models at a low price. The questions I have are: how long is the price fixed for (will they increase it) and the whole app thing to open the car is a bit of a faff. I will ask them and report back.

Free electric from their own posts, but more importantly they also include a Polar Plus sub, charged to them

from the FAQ page:
"We provide membership cards to the Polar Plus network which is the largest charge network in the UK. This is included in your subscription "

I currently get all my elec from polar points, so that would work well for me

Hadn't noticed the app/keyless entry system, probably works well for picking up from a depot,
but not sure I'd be wanting to do that day to day / long term.

Doing remote unlock via the normal bmw app can take a few minutes.

I'm really struggling to think why they think free electricity is important if it means going out of your way to get it.
To me, this is the sort of thing that will put people off, not encourage them.
City-centric thinking? A good deal for those who can't park on their own driveway, but a PITA for those who can.

Yes, this was a similar experience with the MB250e. Only did it a couple of times to test it out, but not ideal. Unless they have an NFC chip, which would be fine (until your phone loses charge), but their site then says you can call them (on someone else's phone I assume).

Free electricity is the icing on the cake but ÂŁ289 a month for a car is great value. No deposit. Minimum a month? It makes a new Leaf on PCP look very poor value
Agreed.
If I'd been aware of this deal before I'd gone back to ICE, I may have stuck with an EV.
Insurance is ÂŁ18 a month for me, say another ÂŁ15 a month for servicing costs.
So that takes the car and fuel down to ÂŁ256 a month.
I doubt I'd be able to take advantage of the free electricity very often though.

I have got some more information. The keyless entry works by holding the details on your phone app, as long as you access the web on the app every 24 hours. This sounds OK, but I would like to see a video of someone using it.

The downside to the insurance is that they have fleet insurance, so you don't get to keep any NCB. I think that this is something they need to look at.

Anyway, they sound very friendly, helpful and are very responsive. I for one wish them well....and who knows, I may give them a whirl.

Looks like a good option. So you can use any Polar rapid for free?

If it's still about at end of March then I'll probably give a zoe or ioniq a go. FAQ states 8p a mile over the 12k up to a max of 15k, so not too bad as I'd need nearer to 17k/18k a year.

Could save ÂŁ25 a month on insurance and say ÂŁ15 on servicing. If I can use the polar rapid for free on the way home then that could add another ÂŁ25 a month saving?

I had a look on the website. It looks like a really good deal. Am I right in thinking that you are not tied into any time length. You can lease monthly without say a 3 year contract? It also says on the website that the cars are all under 3 years old. Will they tell you the exact age and mileage of the car you are getting?

Is the battery rental included?

So, I have asked a few more questions and I suppose my only concern is that you have no idea where the monthly pice is going to end. The contract will say that they 'reserve the right to amend rates, rate structures, terms and credits with reasonable notice'. That could mean that you are stuck with either a price hike or no car at quite short notice.

This is a subscription service and most subscriptions are clear about price increases e.g. phones on an annual basis:

O2: "Each year your Monthly Subscription Charges will be subject to an annual adjustment by the RPI Rate, (which could be an increase or a decrease) and be announced in the February preceding the RPI Change, and the adjusted amount will appear on your April bill."
