Here's a pretty good deal on the Ioniq Premium trim - ÂŁ264 on a 9+47. Only 8k p/a but I'm sure it won't be much extra to push it up to 10/12k:

Hyundai Ioniq Hatchback
For that money tho wouldn’t it make more sense to do the evezy offer?

Hyundai IONIQ - EVezy

Only a month at a time so can drop it if another steal deal comes along, includes Polar membership, insurance, maintainance and for about ÂŁ40 a month more

I’m interested in an EV deal and can’t help but compare any to them now, tho not quite brave enough to pull the trigger on it yet!

The 225xe's combined power is less than ICE only on the i8. The i8's ICE produces 231ps on its own, and is further assisted by the electric drivetrain. Combined power on the i8 is in the 350hp region.

Its very much not the same powertrain, though it is similar.

This is also very evident in the 0-60 and other performance figures.
Yes that makes a lot more sense, I read the headlines on the AutoTrader ads then came to the wrong conclusion.

ÂŁ60k for 'new' cars with 1 thousand miles on is crazy, I hope no-one is paying list!

Yep, Evezy offer a very compelling prospect and I was tempted to use it instead of getting a new lease on an Ioniq but I just fancied getting a brand new one with the Premium SE trim

I signed up today not realising the locations are only London, Birmingham and Milton Keynes!

No use to me being in the Lake District....

They do say they deliver so sent and enquiry but I'm guessing it will be a no or a sizable cost to deliver.

I also asked about the keys as it says on the website you open them with the app, no mention of how you then get it going.

Read back a few pages on this thread, plenty of discussion about this.

Basically page 6 onwards - Briefly from what’s been said before, you open the app every 24 hours to download a key which you then use to start the car locally, suspected via Bluetooth. Main other points to consider, it was reported you have to pay £1000 towards the insurance premium if you have an accident and it was your fault (the cars have dash cams installed).

Personally I’m curious about other damages, say it’s parked and someone prangs the car, are you liable for the repairs?

Not as good as first appearance then. An well never mind.

I dunno it depends what you’re after, I think we can all agree there’s no really great deals out at the moment and with the botched/slow rollout of the Kona/Niro there’s likely not going to be for awhile, 2020 however looks great so locking into a 24/36 month deal doesn’t look smart at the moment - a rolling 1 month deal would work to get something now but be ready to drop into a good deal as and when they arrive and that’s what this offers

Think I'll just buy a runabout and watch the market.
My local dealer reckoned Sweden were buying 10's of thousands of BEVs that's pushing price up in UK dunt know how true that is.

My Zoe is due for replacement in July 2020.

How long are the current lead times on EVs. My Renault dealer advices 9 months for a new Zoe.

I want to get something with a 40kw battery or over as I do 105 motorway miles per day.

Was thinking of the new BMW i3 as I think this has a 40kw battery. Bit confusing as they advertise in aH.

Failing the BMW I guess another Zoe or perhaps the Leaf.

Yes the newest 120Ah i3 is 42kwh and is supposed to do 192 miles on the WLTP test.

IMPORTANT:

If anyone goes ahead with the EVEZY subscription, remember to post your loyalty code on here as you will get ÂŁ50 and the next person will get ÂŁ50.
I have just signed up and have to wait 24 to 48 hours to see if I’m accepted. They have already given me a referral code (d6540).

Subscription is minimum 30 days. You pay the monthly fee at the beginning of your contract and then on that date each subsequent month. If you want to cancel at the end of the first month you have to give 10 days notice ie let them know before day 20. After that you can cancel at any time and will be refunded for the remainder of that month once you’ve handed the car back.

I’ll keep you informed about how it pans out.

What does "access the app on the web" mean?

Does the app require Internet connectivity with the car, or does it use Bluetooth/private wifi between car and phone? The latter solves the "underground car park with no signal" issue?
You download the key every 24 hours onto a Bluetooth enabled device and then you can use it all day without needing to be connected to the internet.

Will you be gettng a Zoe from them? Collecting in Birmingham or London?
I’m planning on going for a Zoe. I was told no ioniqs available as they’ve been very popular. They currently only have 2018 i3s but will be getting the latest model in April.
I live in London and am only about 30 minutes away by public transport from their Kings Cross branch.

Outlander PHEV is 10 days. Outlander PHEV commercial is 8 to 10 weeks because they are converted from stock cars.
DriveElectric have a handful of 94Ah i3 available now. I haven't asked about the 120Ah.

Last I checked, LEAF 40 is about 3 months and the van is a bit longer. Nissan say the 60s will be Summer, I think.

All new Zoe is on the way. That might explain the 9 month wait.
All new Kangoo Z.E. on the way too. Production is moving to a new plant that will also build a new eCitan and a diesel Nissan van.

Tesla Model 3 is perhaps 10 months??

Ahh that explains the ÂŁ399 price for the i3. They probably got a deal on leftovers from BMW fleet leasing. (BMW have an internal leasing division)

We are looking for April or even May. My guess is the 94Ah i3s will be gone and the new model will be more expensive.
