Indra Smart Pro - No Connectivity for over 24 hours!

I had an Indra Smart Pro installed through ChargedEv in January and we had our Polestar 2 delivered at the end of February. The charger has worked fine since installation apart from one night where it lost connectivity for about 3 or 4 hours and was displaying a slowly flashing purple light.

It worked fine again but this weekend it has been offline for almost 36 hours at the time of writing this.

Again it shows the slowly flashing purple light. I can charge the car using the boost button so no issue that way, but I cannot see how long the charging lasted and how many kwh were added, and can't track the cost of my charging sessions.

I have sent a couple of emails to support but not had any reply as yet. Seems like their support dept is closed at the weekend.

Anyone else have this charger and had similar issues??

The chap that fitted it said he was installing a mobile sim card thing for connectivity instead of a hard wired ethernet connection, even though my Internet router is literally right next to the charger but obviously inside the house.

Anyone have any ideas as to how to fix the issue or should I just wait for support to get back to me??

Other than this connectivity problem it's been a great charger and the app is actually really good too.

Issue resolved itself after 2 days of being offline. The charger was offline the Saturday and Sunday and then had connectivity on the Monday. The fault that came up, according to the troubleshooting, showed that my charger was connected to the Internet but not to Indra so I assume there must have been a fault or maintenance at the Indra end which meant a loss of connectivity.

Just came across this via a Google search. I’ve had exactly the same issue since late Friday night. Got home to charge and the light went red. Turned the isolator off and on and have had the purple flashing light ever since. Restarted the router and no joy. I wonder if Indra have issues at weekends?? Not good if they do. Hoping it will come back on tomorrow.

I've got the same issue at the moment. Flashing purple light. Shows that the charger is connected to the Internet but not connecting to Indra. Issue must be with Indra servers or something. I can still charger by using the boost feature but the annoying thing is that the charger won't remember the session and include the charging cost in the monthly summary. Wish Indra would just fix this issue.

Definitely not widespread.

Could you confirm the number of purple flashes you are seeing and do you know how comms have been achieved (hardwired ethernet, wifi or 4g)

1 flash - internet but no Kaluza control.
2 flashes - no internet
more than 2 - local network issue.

Our Indra charger has been installed for 2 months but has only been on-line for a few days. It lost contact with the internet/wi-fi network (two purple flashes) and could not be reconnected. Signal strength measurements showed that there was a good wi-fi signal. Last week a visit from an installer failed to restore the connection, which had to be abandoned, despite the presence of two strong wi-fi signals. The mobile phone link was set up, although at a very low local signal; level, and has appeared to operate normally since. There is evidently a major problem with the Indra chargers or their internet infrastructure - why do they not admit it?

It is unfortunate that Indra Support, like many other IT companies, do not bother to read their customers' complaints but simply reproduce a standard set of very obvious solutions, all of which have already been tried and dismissed. Indra - please read carefully: the charger will not access the internet via wi-fi even if the router is, in effect, less than a meter away. There is no local interference, all other wi-fi devices operate OK in the vicinity of the charger. We had another display yesterday - 5 purple flashes. Eventually I employed the standard IT solution - switch off, leave for 10 minutes, switch back on. This time it worked!

Nwe one for me now! The app says “disconnected” which is true, the car isn’t plugged in but it says history unavailable and schedule unavailable. Had a flashing white light (means car is connected but charger idle) when the car isn’t connected.

Rollout is deliberately slow so we can manage the migration sensibly (dont want to do them all at once then have hundreds of issues or people to talk through how to use it).

If you drop a note to support@indra.co.uk they can move you over early.
