Leaf trims compared

I've noticed from Nissan website that they don't sell Acenta anymore but there are plenty Acentas on sale used.

For anyone considering buying '18 Leaf, what are the differences between Acenta vs Visia vs N-Connecta?
(I know Tekna has everything and has always been top of the range so I omit it here)

We ordered my wife an N-Connecta yesterday and the Acenta was definitely there as an option

they don’t do an e-Acenta with the bigger mileage but the base Acenta is still sold as new

My wife looked at both Acenta and NConnecta and went for the NConnecta as she wanted the 360 parking, which is brilliant for unconfident parkers, as well as things like heated seats.

Tekna is the only one with an electronic parking brake as standard. My 2021 n-Connecta still has the manual foot brake. However, the electronic parking brake comes with ProPilot so, if you add that as an option, you can get it on the n-Connecta too.

I agree that having a manual foot brake feels a bit dated on a car that is otherwise quite technically advanced. However, it seems to work OK. There is automatic hill hold still, if that is a concern. The only problem we have had is that it is a little too easy to forget to release it. The car does warn you in various ways, but it seems it is too subtle if you are distracted by other things: my wife once left it on for the best part of a mile before she realised, in the early days before she'd got a feel for how the car ought to drive.

Yes, caution for all those familiar with the old Accenta Specification in the UK
OUT WITH:
  • Nissan Connect Services
  • Sat-Nav with charging stations etc.
  • Heat Pump cabin heating.
Bit of a shock to effectively downgrade a model, is it due to shortages in electronic components, reduced costs or both.

Losing Nissan Connect and Sat Nav (when it integrates Apple Carplay and AA) don't seem big deals, and unless you need all of the range in the very cold the loss of heatpump means nothing. On the plus side 16" wheels as standard. :devilish: Seems a very good deal to me as long as you get the normal LEAF discounts.

It depends what you want. The 2018 version has more kit but often only the 3.6kW on board charger - so it depends on what you want.

A significant number of the lower spec version 2 cars had 3.6kW chargers. You can tell by looking at the side of the inverter on the drivers side and it is marked there.

Read this thread.

3kw or 6kw 69 plate Acenta

It's not easy to see but it's there.

I think that Nissan saved a considerable amount by fitting the 3.6kW units so did so on the low specs to both differentiate the higher spec and increase profitability.

Haven't they downgraded the latest Tekna's by moving some features to the options list, eg self parking?

Correct, distance/online selling regs can’t be waived. There are certain default fall backs like a year to return if you don’t tell the customer it’s 14 days, but that’s designed to be punitive and ensure that you tell them.
