A number of people have had numerous issues with the app.
The most recent update has done things like crash entirely on Apple phones or completely corrupt mileage data for Android users.

The best way forward is to export you data if you want it then completely uninstall the app.
delete the pairing between the car and phone
go to the store, download and install the latest version
from the car run the app on the phone and pair the phone with the car using Bluetooth.

if you then wish to reimport your data, do so.
Things appear to go back to working normally from this point on.

Whoever writes and maintains the app is useless enough to have faced instant dismissal when I worked but it seems these days people get away with being totally inept and nobody seems to care.

It would be useful if people have an issue with the app to add to the thread with their own experiences, perhaps a meaningful and well informed email to the support people would prompt them to not make such a mess of things with the next update.

I know, it's almost like they don't care.
I'll hopefully collate a list of grievances and send it off for them to ponder or ignore.
In the meantime ditch it completely then start again as I described, if it makes no difference then it's 5 minutes wasted but I made 2 journeys after doing it and both got recorded!!!!
Further testing tomorrow when I charge.

I've not been getting any notifications on the car or phone.
I noticed on the new version of the app there is a silent notification stating its ready to connect but it seems unobtrusive on Android.

That's the version which prompted the post.
If you plan your install rather than just updating you should save potential buggerage.

Edit:
Since I looked at this yesterday and before I uninstalled the completely busted version and reinstalled from scratch they seem to have gone back to 1.33.3 which is dated December.
I'll leave it a few days and check again.

Sheesh!!!!!

Good luck.

My iOS one updated the other day. Its always been quite steady for me in terms of letting me check charging, set preconditioning etc but the recording of trips never worked and i always get a pop up on my phone for me to allow a connection which i just ignore. For some reason it has recently recorded a load of trips with me not doing anything but not sure how its started working all of a sudden. I dont need the trip info for anything and the one handy bit of info about average power usage isnt recorded!

It looks like the latest update went live and then got pulled 4 or 5 days later.
The live version is now the December version.
One user I know of with the iOS version had massive problems so it might be worth completely ripping it out and starting afresh.
No need to export your data if you don't need it.

See, if I could do that I’d probably be almost happy. I can’t though, can’t see any consistency in when it does or doesn’t work (sat next to window with car just feet away, stood next to car, sat in lounge with car maybe 3m away) one day it will work, the next it won’t. Numerous versions, two (actually 3 now as installed in on an old Android phone) different iPhones. Glad it’s working for some though but wonder what the differences are.

I checked the app store and play store last night and it mentioned the same 1.3.33 version so maybe we just need to give them another chance to pull their thumbs out.
Glad you are getting what you need from it but to many it's just a frustrating waste of time.

Have put the car on charge.
Could not get the app to kick off preconditioning either before or after plugging in the charger.
It's a complete waste of time and energy.

I'm wondering how people get remote data from the thing, I'm assuming they somehow connect it to wireless everywhere they go but maybe the Corsa still has onbiard Internet whereas it seems to be missing from my car.

Well FMD!
Just looked at that (having removed and reinstalled recently) it's there. It seems a few things are now displaying that didn't before.
10 years like yours
It wasn't there before so the service should be working. Just isn't working like it should.

If I turn off my router later I can test to see if I can still get info to update.
Will kill bluetooth in the phone too just to save me walking to the end of the garden.
That should simulate me charging somewhere away from home and being in the arcade bit fragging zombies.

90 percent of my journeys are so short I doubt I'd have time to notice but that's a good way to set things up.
Someone once said the arrows were pointing the wrong way on the satnav displayed behind the wheel and I intended to give it a test but that was a couple if months ago.

One day I'll get to test everything but time us at a premium.

I'll see what I can make of it all tomorrow.

I've worn the bloody T-shirt.
First thing it did was convert my miles to km but keep saying they are miles.
Then you notice the range has suddenly jumped up, oh no its saying miles but showing km.

I put a review on the store thingy and VX replied asking me to report it to them with more details.
They make reporting anything such a nightmare you just give up and hope someone else will.
Maybe if we all moan about it on the play store or whatever they might take notice.

Baah,

Whatever they say is unlikely to calm down one poor woman who was almost in tears because she thought they added 2000 miles to her cars mileage.

The previous version was really annoying when you found your mileage had been converted to km but still displayed miles you would naturally correct it. No sooner had you closed the app and gone back into it, it did the conversion again so now with the newer version which makes it even more difficult to correct things we have to leave it in km and completely ignore everything with the faintest hope that the one thing that did sometimes work might still sometimes work.

It is becoming less than funny.

:(

She didn't say what her mileage is or was but if you know any 14 year olds they will be able to work it out in an instant
Should be a fairly straightforward equation.

Pierpoint - 20 yrs ago you'd have been fired on the spot.

You've worked in some tough gigs mate. I started work in 1977 am still working, though I am looking forward to retirement. But at no time have I been under that kind of threat. I've always felt you learn from your mistakes and a lot are possibly due to inadequate leadership/ supervision anyway.
Nowadays the boot is on the other foot and I'm training people myself. I've found that the lack of draconian penalties encourages a free open atmosphere where people own up early and readily to mistakes , and we can work together to fix them and prevent reoccurrence. Which makes for a nicer atmosphere for everyone to work in.
One of my aphorisms. Nobody died and we all get to go home tonight...

Seriously though, in a customer facing IT role where incompetence could cost a company literally 100s of thousands of pounds there isn't much wiggle room. Working with companies that make pencils or something might get away with less capable staff but I only worked with the top 10% financial institutions and a handful of other places. That was up till 20 years ago when I retired.

The app was working OKish if a bit hit and miss and has got progressively worse.
The same issues appear to stretch across the entire stellantis range.
When I was part of a team for one of the blue chip banks I worked with to save the world from the Y2K bug we tested things properly.
The team who work on this app have seemingly failed to test at all.

Whoever is responsible for releasing a flawed 1.3.33 then releasing a much worse 1.3.34 and then rolling back to release 1.3.33 only to release an even worse version 1.3.34.1 all within the space of a few days save for the original release date of 1.3.33 is grossly incompetent.
The sentiment about everyone getting home.
Well not if they look at the app to determine they have 100 miles of range only to run out of juice having reached just 100 kilometers.

The one saving grace is that the flawed coding in the various versions of the app is so widespread they can't just sweep it under the carpet and ignore it.

As already stated the app will display everything in km despite it stating they are miles.
Last time I corrected the readings I had to tell it to display km first. The I changed it back to the correct reading and finally changed it to display miles. Looked OK.

Closed the app, no issues but when I opened it again it once again converted the miles to km.

The ÷1.6ish calculation doesn't come naturally as something you can do in your head so just halve it and at least you won't run out of charge thinking you had the range.

Right then,

V 1.34.2 is now available.
I've been playing with it a bit and it appears to have resolved the miles as km issue.
Will play with it a little more and then get back.
To be honest, it seems to be their backend which is failing everyone just as much as the app and its the same core code in the app which is common to Peugeot and Citroën among others.

I have not checked if the rollout covers iPhone too but if this is the rate they work on stuff its going to take another few versions before it might be vaguely usable.

Baah, I'd much prefer them not to release an update until they have tested it.

Apparently, my car is still charging an hour after I unplugged it.

I cannot wait to see if mine logs anything.
They might have better luck if they just scrap the whole thing and start again.

Oh, you need to update your settings from km to miles. I'll double check maybe it was just wishful thinking.
