Removing the battery isnt too big of an obstacle on the env. A competent garage with the right kit will have it done in 30 minutes

I have the reverse issue from this thread as I am removing the rear seats.

I have removed the rear seats from my eNV200 only things remaining are the floor plate and floor anchor points that the seats hook into. Looks like the anchor points are easy enough to remove, standard bolt heads but the plate has what look like star key heads as if to prevent their removal.

Has anyone removed these and can advise me on these points:

Does removing this plate affect anything else like the battery which is beneath the car at this point?

What the right size and type of key/spanner that I need to remove these bolts? Looks like it is about 8mm in diameter.

I have attached some photos to illustrate.

I will have a complete rear seat assembly from a 40kWh env200 available as soon as this issue is sorted and a head liner as I've had a poptop fitted.

They are called torx. I don't know what size. Halfords or similar will sell a set.

Are you talking about 2nd or 3rd row seats? 2nd row seats fold forward on a quick release so the rear seat stays are secured with a bar set in the floor, rather than just a bolt.

I have a combi so can have a look and take some pics if it will help....
If you still have the combi and are willing to post photos on here that would be a great help. I am about to do a conversion and have all the parts but do not necessarily know where they go.

Mike, would you kindly elaborate on this please? I am about to start a conversion and would like to avoid removing the battery if at all possible.
The battery is under the floor. You need to drill the floor and bolt through. Not something you can do safely or easily with a battery in the way!

As the above photo shows the floor panel of the 2015 van seems significantly different. The removable section and the rubber bungs seem to be the same but the corrugations not.

Edit. My skill at adding photo is clearly lacking.

Manufacturers usually simplify things by pre-drilling and tapping the bolt down points for rear seats so check for grommets or painted over covers in the floor.

They usually look quite substantial and so are hard to miss.

If Nissan don't want you turning your cheap van into a combo then they might have not done the drill/tap.
Nissan have not done a combo floor infact they do not seem to have an e-nv200 floor at all, there are unused rubber bungs and a cover plate which must be for the fuel tank.

It seems what I need is 2 brackets to weld to the floor supporting the long plate and three shaped plates to provide pockets on the floor for the individual brackets to sit in. Seems unlikely that Nissan will deign to sell these but that must be my first try before trying to make something. I could cut them out of a scrap van I suppose,

We are having rear seats custom fitted soon in our new van, my Boss has found 'someone in Norfolk' who fits Mercedes Vito rear seats and can change front seats to Ford Focus. I'll let you know when I get more info...

My children will be in back seats so I'll be checking the conversion with fine tooth.

I once bought a transit connect with rear seats fitted by a professional (had conversion certificate to boot). When converting it to a day camper I took out rear seats and found they were bolted to 18mm ply floor, without even a spreader plate.

Ply was Gripfilled to original vanfloor-obviously for extra 'safety'... !

Is fitting the seats literally all that is required? What about window controls, air vents, air bags? Does the passenger version have any of those?

I guess for carrying a colleague occasionally in a work van a seat is really all that is needed but taking family on a long journey is a bit different?

Cheers.
