Yes, that's the same thing I went through earlier this week, all seems ok! Updating the account information seems to be an overnight thing.
I've had an e mail from Octopus this afternoon and I'm on Go from midnight tonight! I've also asked to change the gas tariff. Apparently they reckon it takes a couple of weeks before the gas meter starts communicating.
So I joined Octopus on 9th December on Tracker, had smart meters fitted on 8th January and moved to Go on 16th January.
I can't fault Octopus their service and communication has been exemplary from start to finish.

I joined Octopus on 9th December. I want to join Go but from reading on here I thought it may take some time to get smart meters fitted so I opted for the Tracker tariff as recommended. On 23rd December I was given the option to have smart meters fitted and various dates and times to book. I chose 8th January and the engineer came and fitted them in 2 hours with no problems. I can only say I am very impressed with Octopus.
My IHD6 was working and showing readings straight away. When I checked the meters the electric one was working but the gas meter display was blank. It's a week tomorrow since they were fitted. My electric meter appeared on my Octopus account several days ago and I can add readings to it, there is no sign of a gas meter yet! I keep getting messages on the IHD saying "ESME commissioning completed". What does that mean?

I had both my 18 month old SMETS2 meters replaced on the 8th December. Commissioning the gas meter can take up to 59minutes. If it hasn’t commissioned in that time the process will time out. Mine did so I didn’t get the GSME message. The installer had by then left! I gave Octopus a call and the smart team talked me through the 2 button commissioning process.

You can check whether data is being sent to the DCC by signing up for a N3rgy.com account.

Be wary of Agile and Trackers at the moment. Spot prices are very high. One day last week, electricity was 32p/kWh and gas was 4.137p/kWh. You can see recent prices for your reaction on Guy Lipman’s excellent website.

Thanks for that.

My gas meter is a Horizon EDMI GS-60B with the < and > buttons was yours similar?

I asked for a change to the Fixed 12 months gas tariff, got the e mail, said OK, tariff changed instantly!
Thanks for your input (y)
Yes, my opinion of their customer service has improved - they've replied on the same day to all emails so far and been quick and efficient in making changes. I've even signed up for their super-secret Agile users forum so I can learn more about how to grab my usage data without needing to submit my private details to some dodgy app!

Still, glad it's working well for you too!

Checked the IHD this morning and the gas display had disappeared. It's been connecting to the smart meter but not appeared on my Octopus account yet. I went outside and pressed the buttons, pressed and held etc and got a reading on the meter display, cost and cubic meters. It then went off. So I thought where is it getting it's power from, must have a battery, so that's why the display doesn't stay on! So it looks like something is happening at the Octopus end?

I joined n3rgy and they are receiving half hourly gas meter readings from my smart meter so I guess it's just a matter of waiting for Octopus to update the tariff.

hmm. 12 days later and even n3rgy is not showing my gas data. I've checked, and can't see any obvious way to prod my Flonidan meter into life

Interestingly, the n3rgy data for the electricity meter shows it has data from the moment it was installed. Seeing that answered my question about how Octopus would calculate my bill for the period between my dumb meter being closed out and me switching to Go.

Yes it looks like my electric meter has been working from day one too. My IHD dropped the gas meter readings this morning so maybe Octopus is updating the tariff, time will tell!

My Octopus gas account has started showing half hourly readings this morning. So that's just over three weeks since the smart meters were installed. Go went live on the 16th!
