Hey everyone, I just nabbed a loaded pre-registered Vivaro E 75kwh LWB for 20k inc vat - maybe Vauxhall have told their dealers to shift these before the fines start - the van seems to have been sitting for 10 months since built. They are supposed to be £52k
🤣

Drove it back 150 miles and the range on the motorway at 64mph was 170miles so it'll easily be 200+ around town. I know a lot of people are waiting until December to try to get insane deals, but maybe it's better to strike now... I highly recommend you try to get one with the heated seat pack - it's really good. As you can see, it's a little too long for normal parking spaces!

Speaking of those heated seats - this van has a bizarre spec... dealer listed it as a base model (V5 confirms), but it's absolutely loaded with options, some of which are not even listed as options for the van model, only the people carrier...

No idea what the story is with it, parts shortage maybe?

Anyhow, I got this by setting up a search on autotrader for vans up to 1 year old with under 500 miles on them. Ignore model of van and look at photos to establish spec - if you see heated seats it's going to be loaded no matter what they say. Also look at the buttons around the touch screen - if you see the satnav button is there (all 6 buttons will have an icon on them) then you'll also have the pro-nav which is actually excellent as it is also on the driver screen behind the wheel and adds tons of features like auto cruise speed adjust, sign recognition, speed camera warning etc.

If the back is ply lined it means it has the expensive ply option which also has load hooks along the floor.

Ignore buttons on the steering wheel - some vans have them all on a stalk behind the wheel instead.

Look at the cruise control stalk - if it has a 'mem' button that's an extra option which allows you to control the cruise from the touch screen, set and save speeds etc. useful for motorway, just save 60mph as an icon, and you can just touch it and the van will take over.

Ignore the reverse camera option, it's rubbish, a £100 front/rear mirror dash cam from ebay is better - plus records all the time - actually caught an incident on my first journey with it and police involved etc. (I/van was fine) Van comes with parking sensors as standard anyway.

Auto folding heated mirrors are very nice too. Yet to establish if it also might have the 11kw charger option, as I don't have a build sheet (or 3 phase).

Does anyone know how I might be able to get the build sheet? So happy with this bargain.
Electric vans do seem to be becoming much cheaper - I highlighted elsewhere that you can now get a nearly new esprinter with the massive 113kwh battery for £37,500 plus VAT, even the ICE version is north of £32,000 plus VAT

The 75kwh PSA medium van seems quite a good campervan base for most, especially as there is a lot of “kits” out there like poptop’s etc for the ICE version which will fit

On my way home last night I found a mysterious unmarked button (not in the manual) and the van apparently has chat GPT built in to it 😵‍💫 I highly suspect this was supposed to be the E-life people carrier and not a van and for some reason was switched to a van at the last minute. I apparently have a 3 month trial of this feature. Maybe the manual I was given with the van is just the wrong manual.

Wow, that's ... bizarre. And strikes me as utterly pointless.

Huh, hadn’t realised this had become a thing

I meant to clarify that my question was based on this:

I can't find any announcement
I dont think the vivaro is getting getting the 110kwh, that the movano/Ducato etc

the vivaro is sticking with the 75kwh but has efficiency benefits so a longer range

Didn’t that refer to the Mercedes Sprinter? - which has a 113kWh battery.

Yeah there’s the esprinter and the new movano/Ducati that have 110+kwh batteries and north of 200 mile range

Interestingly the new Renault Master reportedly has them beat on range despite “only” having 87kwh due to a much better efficiency - and it won various 2025 best van award

Medium sized vans there the vito 100kwh but I’ve seen some reports are rhe efficiency is awful and it doesn’t do that much better than the vivaro 75kwh battery

Right now the vivaro 75kwh is probably the best EV campervan out there, 75kwh battery with 100kw charging is a nice balance for a speedy stop, and the range is long enough that you’d probably be looking to stop when you’re getting low anyway - plus now they seem quite easy to get for under £20k used, and now new it seems!

My curent base van for camper feelings.

Medium van the Stellantis 75kWh is still a solid option. I think the Maxus eDeliver7 with the 88kWh pack will give a better range and I think has better tech. The issue with it is that there want be readiliy avalible bits for doing a camper. New Ford Custom and LWB Buzz if it apears may be interesting options soon.

Larger vans the Fiat Ducato and identicle Nissan Interstar with 110kWh look solid. You can get these on 3.5t but the payload is very limited. They are avalible as 4.0t options but I belive there are implication license and speed limit wise with these. The eSprinter also has the 113kWh but only the heavy 7.12m long version so not something I would ever look at. The fact it's LFP though is a posative. The Renault Master e-tech is the interesting new additions if it realy has the claimed range. I would be really interested in a back to back range comparison between the new Ducato and the new Master.

Yeah same, the master might be a game changer for large campers if the efficiency is as good as some reviewers suggest.

My understanding is the rules around vans above 3.5t is now very complicated - the gov has proactively changed the rules so the “normal” rules of needing to do an additional test to drive a 4.25t isn’t required for an EV, but apparently you still need a tachometer over 3.5t so it’s an added headache for the larger EV vans

I can't been find any information about a 110kwh Vivaro-e (or similar). Have I missed something?
Oh sorry, I just meant their new van with the 110kwh battery, I got an email about it. That thing has some crazy specs, I love how they just wrote 0-60 'less than 10 seconds'. I bet with those torque figures.

My brother just got an ID Buzz Commerce from stable vehicle contracts. The lease is ridiculously cheap and costs him about what he used to pay in diesel for the transporter.
the new van is terrific and was doing over 4 miles per kWh in the warmer weather.
