I'll never understand how anyone would let this happen.

Checking that all your links work is basic stuff - if they can't get that right I'm not sure I'd want to trust them with my money given the more complex tech they're trying to sell.

It happens even in big companies where it's our sourced and a page is then told to be cut because the info is out of date or duplicated or such and then someone forgets that they also need to remove any links to it. Not a biggy in my books for a startup company

I work for a big corporation and we have automated tools to prevent things like this happening - I can assure that someone would be dragged over hot coals if a FAQ was put live with dead links in it.

Agreed a start-up should perhaps be given some leeway. But whoever manages the content on the site just needs to click through the site when they upload new content. Not exactly an arduous task on such a small site.

I wonder if you'd be as accommodating if they missed a line of code in their app that left you stranded unable to unlock your car?

Yup, poop happens in any wall of life but I would be getting them to unlock it remotely and provide some form of compensation ;)

They don’t seem desperate for business. I emailed them on Tuesday and still haven’t heard anything. I’ll ring them at some point...I’m not in a rush my deal ends in March. But it’s pretty poor that they haven’t got back to me.

So apparently, you need to connect the app to the web every 24 hours. I assume that this will mean that you open an app on your phone when it has wifi, 3G or 4G. Then it 'holds' the key in the app for 24 hours, so you can open and close your car easily. That's what they have said, but I would like to see it used or get some feedback from users.

There are no videos of this in action and I can't see any discussion of users online. To be honest, I am surprised that the company has not been discussed on this forum in the past.
This still doesn't answer the question!

CAN YOU OPEN THE CAR WHEN IT DOESN'T HAVE INTERNET, YES OR NO?

Simply put, no.
Like a leaf or other connected car, if you can't operate the remote climate control and such then the unlock won't work.
I will bet it has better reception than most mobile phones but still it's not designed for those out in the sticks whobon average cover more miles anyway but more for those in the cities and suburbs

OK, so I have not got one of these and I haven't seen them, but when I called they said that you can open the car when you don't have internet connection. They say that each day you need to log in once and the phone will hold the 'key' for 24 hours, so you don't need to access the web again. I assume that they must have a local area network from the car?

I asked them the 'in the sticks scenario' and they say you will be fine.... if you have accessed the app online in the last 24 hours. They specifically say you can open or close without internet connection. I have googled around a bit and they have their own programmers who have developed the app.

I would still like to see it working though.

I get the feeling that they are clearing every batch of cars they get through. They certainly don't seem to be trying to push them.

It reads differently to me but this, if true would indicate that it's a Bluetooth connection.
I know the BMW can do all this via the connected app anyway but not sure about the Zoe or such.
I wouldn't be happy if it was a WiFi connection on the vehicle either...
It may be as simple as it uses NFC built into the car and you rap rap your phone to the door. I wonder what phones it supports...

I really don't know how it works, but I am just feeding back what they have said. I thought that it could be NFC, but then they would have to state a minimum spec for the phones. It could be bluetooth as you have said.

The 225xe's combined power is less than ICE only on the i8. The i8's ICE produces 231ps on its own, and is further assisted by the electric drivetrain. Combined power on the i8 is in the 350hp region.

Its very much not the same powertrain, though it is similar.

This is also very evident in the 0-60 and other performance figures.

Had an offer of ÂŁ1000/down ÂŁ240/month on the Soul. Any better deals than that?
That sounds good, depending on number of years and mileage per year. Could you post and also let us know where it is from as I know someone who maybe looking for one.

The best I can see on leasing.com is: KIA Soul Hatchback
